"Finnick Odair: [Sardonically] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the seventy-sixth Hunger Games." Finnicks mood there is that he is making fun of hunger games and comparing it with the war he is in with Katniss. "Peeta Mellark: You love me. Real or not real? Katniss Everdeen: Real." This shows Peeta's curiosity to figure out what the capitol was lying about and not by asking Katniss. The literary elements are used when the author is trying to specifically show the mood of the characters to the readers by not showing them but explaining to them in the characters own words. Also when the character is explaining the narrative structure of the story.

The setting is in Panem, where the Capitol and 13 districts are. Katniss now lives in district 13 because her district, district 12 was bombed meanwhile she was participating in the hunger games for the second time. District 13 is inside the state of Panem. Panem takes place thousands of years after the United States of America. The important scene of this story is when the districts are battling the Capitol because this is how the districts got their freedom. It creates more conflict because the capitol sends in more troops to kill the district soldiers. The conflict her is man vs. man. The character: Katniss, reacts to this by leading a fireteam into the capitol and killing many enemy troopers. This takes place at the falling action because the main objectives to reunite the districts against the capitol are done and the only thing left to do is to destroy the Capitol. "Prim. Primrose!" This was said by Katniss when her sister Prim was killed in the falling action. "We all have one enemy, and that's Snow!" This was said when Katniss was giving a speech to the districts when she was reuniting them in the rising action. |
